Plugins
From AWN Wiki
Plugins allow already-existing applications to interact with AWN. To obtain them, follow the Awn Extras download instructions. You will find the plugins in /awn-extras/awn-plugins.
Applications with plugins so far are:

- Audacious - Changes the application icon into cover art
- Rhythmbox - Changes the application icon into cover art
- Banshee - Changes the application icon into cover art, shows progress of song and adds controls to the context menu
- Banshee-1 - Changes the application icon into cover art, and adds controls to the context menu for versions of Banshee 1.0 and above
- Exaile - Changes the application icon into cover art
- Quodlibet - Changes the application icon into cover art
- Amarok - Changes the application icon into cover art and displays remaining time
[edit] Internet applications
- Deluge - Prints the download rate and the upload rate over application icon (For Deluge 0.5 only)
- Pidgin - Changes the application icon into current status (away, available, etc), and displays the number of unread messages
- QutIM - Changes the application icon into current status (away, available, etc), and displays the number of unread messages
- XChat - Prints the last nick that said something in IRC and the number of unread messages
- Epiphany - Shows the current page's favicon
