Awn System Monitor
From AWN Wiki
[edit] InstallationThere are three recommended installations methods for this applet:
[edit] Distribution Specific repositoryMany distributions have relatively current distribution specific packages available. [edit] Installation via AWN-extrasThis involves using the bzr revision control system to checkout and install the awn-extras trunk. A install guide can be found here: Awn_Extras
[edit] Installation via applet developer's branchThe awn-system-monitor developer maintains a branch of awn-extras that contains dev/testing versions of awn-system-monitor and awn-notification-daemon. The stability of these packages can vary significantly. Follow the bzr installations instructions provided for Awn_Extras. But instead of bzr branch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~awn-extras/awn-extras/trunk awn-extras use bzr branch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~rcryderman/awn-extras/awn-extra-moonbeam
[edit] DocumentationNote: The applet can be configured through the "standard" configuration method of using gconf-editor. This method is discouraged as the applet can be largely configured through it's right click menus. [edit] Bar IconCurrently the bar icon displays a graph of CPU usage along with the current CPU usage. The basic appearance of the icon can be configured by right clicking on the icon. [edit] Main WindowThe main window can be accessed by left clicking on the awn-system-monitor icon. The appearance of the window is highly configurable though it does default to showing all components and using an appearance mimicking the current gtk style. Awn-system-monitor uses a component architecture with each component being individually configurable. The main window is configurable through a right click menu as are the individual components. |
