This page describes the non-technical infrastructure of the Awn Extras applets, in particular a list of maintainers and a list of applets with duplicate functionality. For the technical infrastructure, please, see the Applet Development Guidelines.

[edit] Dependency Matrices

[edit] Applets Status

Green represents applets that are well maintained (the maintainer makes timely bug fixes and is generally available). Yellow represents applets that are not well maintained (the maintainer will fix large bugs, but otherwise will not maintain the applet). Red represents applets that are not maintained (there is no maintainer).

Please post on the forum about any changes to applet ownership you want to make, and then make appropriate changes here.

Note: Starred (*) applets use awnlib in some form or another; the awnlib maintainer(s) should test/patch all of these applets before changing API.

[edit] Applets that Duplicate Functionality

Duplication of effort, and applets, isn't always desirable. That being noted, it is not the role of awn-extras trunk to filter applets based on duplicate functionality. However, before starting a new applet please carefully review the existing applets to determine if the functionality is already available in an existing applet and, if not, whether it could be effectively implemented as a modification to an existing applet. Applets will not be rejected based on duplication of function, but work can be saved by not doing so. The following is a list of applets that duplicate function to a significant extent.
